ABOUT THE CANDIDATE


   
  Christopher R. Strickland was born in Hall County, Georgia in 1974 and educated in the Gainesville and Hall County public schools. . Christopher graduated from West Hall High School, and graduated from Shorter College in Rome with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. He began his teaching career in the inner city area of Augusta, Georgia. In 2000, Christopher married the former Ms. Kelleigh Lint of Murrayville, Georgia and returned to Hall County. Since returning, Christopher has taught at Hall County’s Davis Middle School; Jackson County’s West Jackson Middle; and he currently serves as the Director of Choral Activities at Creekland Middle School, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. In addition to his choral music degrees, he holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Augusta State University and recently completed his Doctorate in Education at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Strickland is the son of the Reverend Randy Strickland and Mrs. Evelyn Strickland. He has two daughters and resides in the Flowery Branch area.  Their family attends St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA where Dr. Strickland teaches Sunday School.
